Welcome to A Balanced Company (“we”, “us”, “our”). A Balanced Company is a New Zealand–based organisation that operates:

  • Balance Buddies, a retail brand selling wellness products including grip socks and accessories; and

  • Non-profit community and networking events for women, hosted currently only in New Zealand.

By accessing our website, purchasing our products, or attending our events, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Company Structure

A Balanced Company is the umbrella organisation under which Balance Buddies operates.
References to:

  • “Products” relate to items sold under the Balance Buddies brand

  • “Events” relate to networking, wellness, or community events organised by A Balanced Company

Specific policies may apply to Products and Events and form part of these Terms.

2. Products – Balance Buddies

2.1 Ordering and Payment

  • Products can be purchased securely through our website.

  • Accepted payment methods are displayed at checkout.

  • Prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). Currency conversion may occur at checkout depending on location.

2.2 Shipping

  • We currently only offer Nationwide shipping.

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

  • Customers will receive order confirmation and tracking details once shipped.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.

2.3 Returns, Refunds & Quality

  • Change-of-mind refunds are not offered.

  • If a product is faulty or defective, we will offer a replacement or refund in accordance with New Zealand consumer law.

  • Normal wear and tear or misuse is not covered.

3. Events – A Balanced Company (Non-Profit)

3.1 Event Terms

  • Each event is subject to its own event-specific Terms & Conditions, which are provided at the time of ticket purchase.

  • By purchasing a ticket or attending an event, you confirm that you have read and accepted those terms.

3.2 Tickets

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Tickets are non-refundable

  • Tickets are non-transferable

3.3 Changes & Cancellations

A Balanced Company reserves the right to:

  • Modify event details

  • Reschedule or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances

If an event is cancelled by us, ticket holders will be contacted directly regarding next steps.

4. Privacy & Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information is collected, stored, and used in accordance with New Zealand privacy laws.

6. Feedback & Community Conduct

We welcome feedback and aim to create respectful, inclusive environments both online and at events. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove individuals whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with our values.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, designs, and materials associated with A Balanced Company and Balance Buddies remain our intellectual property and may not be used or reproduced without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Balanced Company is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from:

  • Use of our website

  • Purchase or use of products

  • Attendance at events

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
